Connecting Odoo to your marketing stack
Marketing dashboards tell you what a campaign spent. The ERP knows what it earned. Joining the two is where automation starts paying for itself.

Most marketing automation stops at the edge of the marketing team. Leads arrive, sequences fire, dashboards update - and none of it knows what the business actually shipped, refunded, or made a margin on. That gap is where most reporting quietly becomes fiction.
Why the ERP is the missing half
Your ad platform knows spend and reported conversions. Odoo knows real orders, returns, cost of goods and which customers came back. Until those two datasets meet, "ROAS" is an estimate built on a platform's own marking of its own homework.
A practical order of work
1. Get the data model clean first
This is the unglamorous part and it decides everything after it. One customer record, one product catalogue, consistent identifiers between the store and the ERP. Every automation you build on a messy model inherits the mess.
2. Make the ERP the source of truth for revenue
Not the ad platform, not the analytics tool. When they disagree - and they will - the ERP wins, because it is the system the finance team closes the books from.
3. Automate lead distribution before anything fancy
The highest-return automation is almost always the boring one: a lead arrives, it is routed to the right person within seconds, and nobody has to watch an inbox. Response time moves conversion rate more than most creative tests do.
4. Then add the AI layer
With a clean model and real data flowing, AI agents become useful rather than decorative. Using the Model Context Protocol, an agent can read live ERP state and answer questions that previously needed someone to build a report.
What it changes
On the projects where I have done this, the visible win is a dashboard that finally ties spend to actual margin. The bigger win is quieter: decisions stop being arguments about whose number is right.
The honest caveat
This is an integration project, not a marketing project. It needs someone who will sit with operations and finance, and it takes longer than installing a tracking pixel. The payoff is that every measurement afterwards is built on something real.
